The Village: The Gathering Trance Party
Sink into the summer trance party scene with a sick jol in Tulbagh
Trance lovers and festi-heads, listen up! Lace up your boots for a stompfest of note. The Village’s annual jol, The Gathering, takes place on the lush greens of the Guinevere Guest Farm from Saturday, 10 to Sunday, 11 October 2015.
The trance festival scene is already in gear, and there are some exciting upcoming parties in the pipeline as our glorious South African summer approaches. So unleash your pent-up energy to the thundering bass-lines of some talented DJs, and bring all your gees along with you.
In order to properly give it horns and take this bash to the next level, the Cape Town-based psytrance event production company presents a line-up jam-packed with top-notch local and international DJs. For this year’s party, revellers can expect to hear out-of-this-world soundscapes by artists such as Painkiller, Injest, TigerLili and Deliriant. Not to mention, lauded local legend Headroom is back at the annual shindig, making this party one for the books!
Back at the Guinevere Guest Farm, partygoers can get amped to dance to trance on the beautiful grassy carpet. What’s more, there will also be a range of creature comforts on offer, like clean loos, chill areas and medical assistance. Attendees can do some shopping at the numerous food, clothing and craft stalls in between dance floor sessions.
What’s more, all this festivity is for a great cause! The festival organisers have chosen the Rural Animal Co-operative South Africa (RACoSA) as their outreach beneficiary. RACoSA perform mass animal sterilisations in rural farming areas in the Western Cape and educate pet owners in responsible animal possession. They will receive R5 from each ticket sold, and will accept any donations at the gate (so please bring some blankets, pet food or spare change to give to our furry friends).
