South Africa VS Australia Rugby Championship Match
Watch the Springboks take on the Wallabies in the Mother City
The Castle Lager Rugby Championship (formerly known as the Tri Nations) sees the national teams from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina scrum it out to determine the ultimate Southern Hemisphere winner. In the first Cape Town-based rugby game of this four-nation tournament, SA’s Springboks will tackle the Wallabies from Aus at Newlands Stadium on Saturday, 27 September 2014; kick-off is at 5:05pm.
Currently placed in second and third position respectively in the IRB World Rankings, South Africa and Australia have met close to 80 times on the field, and of these games, the Bokke have dominated 44 and drawn only one.
What’s more, since the inception of The Rugby Championship competition in 1996, our boys in green and gold have won the title three times. Needless to say, Saffers are eager to see what the Bokke have up their sleeves to make sure they bring that cup home again!
