Pinocchio at the Nassau Theatre
Bring out the little ones for a fun take on this beloved age-old children’s tale
Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto and the puppet who wanted to be human are here again just in time for the school holidays! The Lilliput Player’s Children’s Theatre Company has brought this cherished traditional tale to the stage at the Nassau Theatre in Newlands from Monday, 15 to Saturday, 20 December 2014.
Pinocchiooriginally appeared in Italian writer Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio and has been adapted for film, the stage and TV. Crafted by carpenter Geppetto, Pinocchio is the wooden puppet who is yearning to be a real boy and who goes seeking adventure. In the Disney film adaptation, Pinocchio’s nose grows whenever he is caught lying.
Founded in 1995, the Lilliput Player’s Children Theatre has been involved in kids’ theatre pieces all over the world from bustling Dubai to our very own Cape Town. In keeping with the festive season, after the show, audiences will be able to meet Father Christmas!
So head down to the Nassau Theatre and bring the little ones out for a festive, fun-filled kid-centric treat.

Tickets are available online at Computicket.com and from Computicket outlets. Entry costs R55p/p and children under one enter for free. Doors open at 9:45am, the show starts at 10am and the duration of the play is 50 minutes.
