Zip Zap Circus School’s Hey That’s My Hat Show
Watch talented youth flip through the air in this acclaimed, family-friendly act
South Africa’s favourite young circus troop returns to the Zip Zap Dome behind Artscape on Saturday, 18 April 2015 to put on another whirlwind show. Boasting a quirky name and a South African spin, the Hey! That’s My Hat performance sold out in Namibia in December 2014 and is now set to take the Mother City by storm for the first time.
The Zip Zap Circus School is unusual in that it takes in underprivileged children and gives them purpose and the capacity to dream by teaching them the skills that will shape them into future leaders through the medium of circus arts. This latest show, which features world-class acts and delightful humour, is testament to the exceptional work done by both the young performers and their mentors.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE ZIP ZAP CIRCUS SCHOOL’S ‘HEY THAT’S MY HAT’ SHOW
Seven young Zip Zappers will perform a range of incredible acts, from triple trapeze swings to beautiful loops with aerial hoops, gravity juggling and more. The show’s theme centres on the hustle and bustle of people’s lives and their constant search for an opportunity to shine. Expect plenty of fun for the whole family and a few good laughs.
ABOUT THE ZIP ZAP CIRCUS SCHOOL
Founded in 1992, the Zip Zap Circus School is all about nurturing potential and inspiring hope in kids while helping to build a peaceful culture of co-existence in Mzansi. Many of the children participating in the free programme come from an at-risk or disadvantaged background, and the school helps them to dare to dream, to see beyond the confines of poverty and to obtain the foundational skills necessary to become successful later on in life.
