The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
Something is rotten in the state of Denm… Cape Town
Have you ever wanted to watch the complete works of William Shakespeare, performed in front of your eyes in less than two hours? It’s a niche question, I’ll concede, but a valuable one nevertheless. From Thursday, 21 to Saturday, 23 September 2017, F Creations invites you to The Galloway Theatre to watch and be amazed as three very talented performers tackle the epic task of acting out every single written work of Shakespeare in 120 minutes (which includes an interval, just so you know).
Is it possible? Yes. Are they REALLY going to get through all the Bard’s plays? Yes. Is it worth your time? Stop asking stupid questions. Daniel Enticott, Kim R2 and Faeron Wheeler are back by popular demand and will don as many costumes and assume all the characters needed to take you on a theatrical tour through the works that earned Shakespeare the title of one of the most respected creatives to grace this fine earth. He revolutionised theatre performance, invented my favourite word - zany - and we think that watching this condensed version is infinitely better than not watching any. I would advise you to read all of his works but I imagine many of you prefer TV over reading after a long day of mundane capitalist torture (or work, for those that just finished high school).
What’s more, they’re going to try to do it in reverse. Presumably, Hamlet comes back to life and resurrects his father. The in’s and out’s are a little confusing, to me anyway, but rest assured that you’ve never seen a play like this one before!
