Rocking for Rhinos with Our Last Night
The American band Our Last Night is making their way to the Mother City!
Concerts are incredibly popular in Cape Town, and you often find that (short of international superstars) the small gigs are the better gigs. Less people mean less noise and less noise means more music. That’s how it seems to us anyway. On Saturday, 11 February 2017 the US band Our Last Night is hitting the stage at Mercury Live in aid of our precious and scarily dwindling rhinos.
Rocking for Rhinos is a South African NGO that strives to fuse conservation, entertainment and the public into one harmonious ecologically friendly venture. They want our great grandkids to be able to see these beautiful animals, and at the current rate they are more likely to look at them like we look at the dodo – gone, and never coming back.
Not only will you have the chance to listen to the awesome USA band Our Last Night, but you will also be supporting an amazingly worthy cause, and potentially making a real difference.
Our Last Night formed in the USA in 2004, and have been rocking the post-hardcore music world ever since. The band is made up of four members; Trevor Wentworth as lead vocalist, Matthew Wentworth on the guitar, Alex ‘Woody’ Woodrow on bass guitar and Timothy Molloy on the drums. Have a little listen to one of their best:
