Opening of the Jamrock Theatre in Brackenfell
Kicking off the launch with Denim 2 Diamonds
Jamrock Theatre opens its doors to Cape Town on Wednesday 25th May 2011 at the Brackenfell Shopping Centre in Old Paarl Road, opening with a show that will be sure to have all coming back for more.
Denim to Diamonds stands apart because of its modern interpretation that gets incorporated into the music. Dynamic dancers add appeal for today’s audiences. Song selection is designed to appeal to a wide spectrum audience fusing old and new styles.
The essence of the show is fun. Seeing through the eyes of a teenager puts a light hearted twist to the links, keeping the audience engaged and entertained.
The story behind Jamrock Music Performance Academy / Theatre epitomizes the Spirit of Cape Town. Mario Bento put his passion for music into empowering young people to unlock their musical potential. Founding the school, first from his home to its present site in Brackenfell, he has now established an academy which accredits students with an international qualification.
Partnering with Johann Visser, owner of Musiekwêreld and special projects manager Jan Otto allowed further growth.
