I Love Coffee Festival
As keen as a (coffee) bean
The I love Coffee Festival is set to bring some of the country’s top roasters to the Neighbourgoods Market on 30th July at the Old Biscuit Mill. This caffeine consortium is aimed at taking South Africa’s growing coffee culture to new horizons by not only bringing together some of the best coffees the country has to offer but also by educating coffee lovers.
Learn about the facets of roasting, cupping and alternative brewing methods can be discussed whilst meeting the heroes behind it all who have ‘bean’ making artisanal coffee for years.
The ‘I Love Coffee Festival’ is a celebration of artisan roasted coffee and alternative brewing methods. What this means is that there won’t be any big, shiny espresso machines.
What? No espresso machines, but why? Well, because most of us don’t use an espresso machine to make coffee at home. The aim of the festival is to present to you a host of awesome ways to brew coffee at home without having to sell a kidney.
The festival is also an opportunity for you to taste SA’s most remarkable coffee whilst getting to know the heroes behind it all. You’ll be able to stock up on beans and if you’re lucky, even get a number or two.
The Neighbourgoods Market will proceed as usual; the festival has just hijacked the big front tent for the day. And because any good shindig is incomplete without cool music, there is a band.
