Garage Built Motorcycle Show
Check out bespoke beasts at this petrolhead’s paradise in Woodstock
Gear-up for a bike show in the heart of the Mother City that will get your engine revving. The third annual Garage Built Show, hosted by the Woodstock Moto Co in partnership with The House of Machines, is an exhibition of custom two-wheeled creations with a side-order of art, photography and live music. This epic motorcycle display will take place on Saturday, 3 December 2016 at the Woodstock Moto Co on Barron Street.
The event aims to reign in Cape Town’s motorcycle lovers and members of the biking community for an afternoon of inspiring machines and great local music. Bespoke bikes that have been created with blood, sweat and tears by independent garage builders and local motorbike businesses will be on show for your enjoyment.
This year, the bike display will be bigger and better with a Custom Bike Alley curated by Rather Be Riding, a moto-lifestyle journal that will select the best of the best custom builds to display. If you have a custom bike to display, you can submit a short list of information along with photos of it to garagebuilt@woodstockmoto.co and they will get back to you.
In addition to the beautiful bike displays, live bands will perform throughout the afternoon and evening to keep the atmosphere alive. Catch Woodstock Moto Co regulars The Valley, The Deathrettes and Black Lung Band as they shred some riffs on stage, followed by Joshua K Grierson and the Trouble. The Striped Horse beer alley will be selling refreshing beverages, and those hungry attendees can grab a bite to eat from The NOB food truck and the Baguette Sandwich Eats & Bakery stall.
