Annual Gun Run 09
Be a part of one of Cape Town's longest standing traditions
First held in 1993, the Gun Run is a popular half-marathon that winds its way through the heart of Cape Town, starting and finishing at Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Green Point. The route passes the V&A Waterfront, traveling through the city's central business district and along Sea Point promenade, before returning to Green Point for the finish.
Make sure you get your entry for the 5km, 10km or 21.1km run in time, as entries close on 2 October. The more leisurely 10km and 5km races follow a similar scenic route but are less demanding. There’s a 21km half marathon, a 10km run/walk and a 5km run/walk. All three events start in Beach Road and finish at Hamiltons Rugby Club in Green Point.
Pick up an entry form from any Sportsmans Warehouse. Entries close Friday, 2 October but you can still enter the 5km run/walk at registration or on race day.
94.5 Kfm will be hosting a post-race party at the finish and the DJ’s are taking part in the 5km and 10km to raise money for the event charity, the Homestead project for street children.
