Bringing country food to city tables every Saturday in Woodstock
Cape Town brunch spots
It's never too late for breakfast or too early for lunch
Brunch takes all the best elements of both breakfast and lunch and combines them into one long, lazy meal that stretches into the early afternoon. It can be a light, bubbly affair or it can include some serious eating (followed by a nap), either way Capetonians do it well. Here are some of our favourite spots for brunch.
Andiamo Restaurant and Deli
Every Saturday and Sunday (and public holidays) this Green Point institution serves up a hot and cold spread of morning delights. Set in the beautiful cobblestone Cape Quarter Piazza, the vibrant Italian eatery gives diners the chance to tuck into a croissant and pretend you’re in Europe. Expect freshly baked bread and pastries, charcuterie, artisan cheeses and traditional hot breakfasts. Don’t miss out on the superb coffee. Brunch costs just R99 for two (R37 for kids) and is served from 9am to 11:30am.
