If you go down to Pear Tree Restaurant on a Sunday morning, you’ll get the most delicious Eggs Benedict you’ve tasted in forever, and with it a free and refreshing mimosa.

Go down to Pear Tree Restaurant on the Village Square for a Benedict Breakfast made by pros. Image: Pear Tree Restaurant
The Benedict Breakfast is served on a slice of toasted ciabatta, two poached eggs cooked to your specification and, of course, that delicately prepared Hollandaise sauce. Then you can have three variations: With maple bacon, wilted spinach and grilled cherry tomato; wild mushroom truffle, burnt broccoli and blue cheese; or sirloin, mustard, tomato jam, rocket and smoked cheese. That’s a substantial breakfast.

Breakfast is served all day, but to take advantage of the special, be there between 10am and 11am every Sunday. It gets full quickly, so book ahead.
If that mimosa magically turns your brunch into a lunch, Pear Tree Hermanus has a comprehensive and creative cocktail menu, with some featuring CBD oils and Kombucha. An extensive wine, gin and beer menu with a focus on local craft producers is available too.

The mimosa is for free, but why not try the Kombucha Cocktail afterwards? Image: Pear Tree Restaurant
The Pear Tree not only serves the perfect brunch, it also has the ideal location: it’s set right on the seafront. There are two options, an outdoor alfresco area, as well as a cozy and comfortable bistro-style interior.
The menu is modern, innovative and flavourful. There are meat and seafood options – old-time favourites – and a substantial vegan and vegetarian selection. Get a taste of the playful and innovative menu at Pear Tree, the quirky-cool ocean-facing eatery also loved by vegans +and vegetarians.

The restaurant has inside and outdoor seating, which is good for whale watching. Image: Pear Tree Restaurant
Benedict Breakfast with free mimosa is on: Every Sunday 10am to 11am
Benedict Breakfast with free mimosa costs: R90
