Olympic Dirty Double Trail Run & MTB Race
Traverse the scenic Wellington Winelands area with this trail run and cycling event
It’s time to gear up and get pumped because the Olympic Dirty Double challenge gets off to a racing start on Sunday, 28 August 2016 at Kleinevalleij’s Festa Restaurant in Wellington.
The dual-sport event offers mountain bike and running enthusiasts two adrenaline-fuelled races – an 8-km trail run followed by a 20-km MTB through the wintery winelands. This reverse duathlon can either be completed on a solo or relay basis. Only relay racers may enter one leg of the event each, which means that solo entrants must complete both races.
Both the trail run and MTB race will take athletes through the stunning Wellington area, with the trail run leading competitors through the majestic surrounding mountains, and the MTB route passing through local vineyards and farmlands.
As usual, the race begins and ends at the beautiful Festa Restaurant at Kleinevalleij Estate, which means that if you’re not up for the challenge, you’re welcome to support from the sidelines (whilst enjoying a tasty treat or two). What’s more, guests to this family-friendly spot can wind down the

Entries can be done online via Entryninjia.com, and the event costs R250p/p for solo entries or R350 per team. The race begins at 9am.
Registration and the handing out of race numbers will occur on the day of the races at 6:30am – so be sure to arrive early to give yourself time to register.
