Dancelines Studio Presents Metronome Dance
Delight in the beauty of all types of dance celebrating musical diversity and young talent
If the urge to twirl sometimes overwhelms you and the beauty of the ballet moves you to tears then this modern dance extravaganza should be right up your beat! Happening at the Theatre at Elkanah on Friday, 22 and Saturday, 23 May 2015, this toe-tapping affair celebrates ballet, modern and contemporary pieces in one spectacular show.
Choreographed by Tracey Aaron and Megan Davey, the aim of Metronome is to introduce young dancers to an array of different styles, along with diverse time signatures and specialty steps to expose them to the intricacies of classical music and various iconic rhythms. By embracing an eclectic collection of music, ranging from musical theatre to Disney melodies, not only do the aspiring dancers learn a great deal, but it also makes for a wonderful performance for the audience to witness.
Audiences can anticipate a fun, feel-good show with all of the talented mini-dancers ranging in age from 4 to 18 years-old. The cast includes 100 children and multiple movements, all of which aim to inspire a love of dance and music, both in the performers and attendees.
