Comedy festival, 80s dance party, dog walk, family magic show & more

Comedy, music, fitness and family events fill Cape Town’s calendar this week. In our guide you’ll find South Africa’s biggest comedy festival, a motorshow with a special guest from Fast & Furious, and an 80s-inspired sunset party. There’s also a Sea Point dog walk, a family magic show at Artscape, and a Brazilian street-style festival in Constantia.
Intaka Island swaps its peaceful nature for a buzzing night scene with the Winter Night Market. On the last Friday of every month, the wildlife sanctuary fills with market stalls, live music, heaters and dinner spots scattered along the canals.

South Africa’s favourite, oldest and largest comedy festival returns to the Baxter with a mix of local stand-up stars and international acts sharing the stage. This year’s lineup includes comedians Jason Goliath and Robby Collins alongside Britain’s Got Talent finalist Mike Woodhams, Italian illusionist Matteo Fraziano, and Spanish balloon artist Dani Airhead.
