Aside from the ample space, great food and delicious drinks offered at Knife, what makes this American-style smokehouse a brilliant place to host a 30th is its birthday party special: the man or lady of the hour gets a free meal when celebrating with a group of eight or more on any Saturday in their birthday month. The whole venue is available for hire for big parties or you can just reserve a few tables if numbers are limited. Similarly, smaller groups can order off the extensive à la carte menu, while large crews can benefit from set menus. HintHunt - The Ultimate Escape Game
If you’re looking to trade table dancing and bottle service for a birthday celebration you’re sure to remember; it doesn’t get better than HintHunt. Blue Bird Garage Food and Goods Market
It may not be all that conventional to visit a market for a 30th birthday bash, but as it’s possible to reserve a table for up to 30 people at this lively Friday night affair, it makes for a quirky and affordable option. Running out of a beautiful old plane hangar in the heart of Muizenberg, the bustling Blue Bird is home to over 40 stalls selling everything from cupcakes, pizzas and sushi to organic burgers, chilli poppers and samoosas, so your guests can pick and choose their fare, buy some booze from the permanent corner bar and then dine together amidst an infectiously vibrant atmosphere. The home of top-notch live entertainment, The Barnyard Theatre at Willowbridge Shopping Centre in the Northern Suburbs, will help ring in any birthday, with a bang.
