Skate Half-Price and in Any Weather on Mondays (BMX and Rollerbladers Also Welcome)
Rain or shine, a four-hour indoor skate session is just R25
Bad weather should never stop you from skating, which is why The Shred indoor skate park is so popular with both beginners and experienced skaters. And now you can come skate on a Monday at The Shred at a special price (except for public or school holidays).
MONDAY SKATE SPECIAL: HALF-PRICE AT THE SHRED
Only pay R25 for a half-day session or R40 for a double on Mondays at this indoor skate park in Paarden Eiland.
The Shred is open every day of the week, and everyone is welcome – from beginners to pros, rollerbladers to BMX riders. And the best part is, no amount of Cape Town’s wind or rain can ruin your plans.
The skate park also hosts various special days, such as girls-only sessions and night sessions for the core skaters and BMX riders, but there’s more of a family vibe on weekends and holidays.
OTHER COOL THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
You’d definitely want to drop into their pool-shaped bowl (the only one in Africa that’s built to international competition spec) sponsored by Vans SA, get one-on-one lessons from their long-serving barista Karl, meet Ollie the furry mascot or throw a safe, fun birthday party for your kids. Also check out The Shred’s very own piece of art made out of broken decks.
If you need a break, grab a coffee and a toasted sarmie from the Eiland Eatery or pop into the skate shop for a few supplies. Read more about The Shred Indoor Skate Park.
