Ever partied it up at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice by Marriott? You should. Of course the newly revamped city hotel with the urban chic interior and cool communal and Instagrammable vibes lets down its hair proper on the weekends.
Every Friday and Saturday night, from 5pm till late, the entire downstairs communal area – you know, with the massive community table, swanky cocktail bar and make-you-want-to-dance-and-take-selfies floorspace, becomes a space where you can chill, meet new people and enjoy cool tunes.

And you don’t have to book a room, either. Everybody’s welcome to come and share a drink, meet up with your peeps and grab some incredible shots for your Instagram feed (you’ll know when you get there and see the decor).
With a live DJ, specials at the bar and famous in-house restaurant in case you get hungry or want a plate of eats to share with friends – and did we mention free parking? – this is definitely something unique to come and explore in the city.

Plus, you can stay over at this urban-chic hotel or even have your function or event in their stunning conference facilities.
Also check out their Friday night DJs, their Samoka stand-up comedy events and watch the big game with friends using their Man Cave specials.
