Here's Why About 4000 Capetonians Are Heading To This Event

Two days of food, wine, friends and family at the Cape Town Food and Wine Festival

A special mix of family, friends, food, wine and music. Join an estimated 4000–5000 people at Westridge Gardens in Mitchell’s Plain for the Cape Town Food and Wine Festival 23–24 April. The Rockets will set the scene with some old-school soul music at this festival endorsed by the Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom.

The festival is founded on the desire to meet the needs of and develop local tourism and hospitality industries in the Cape Flats area. Tickets range from R40–R350pp for each day, Sunday and Monday respectively. There will be food rooted in South African culture paired with the best of the region’s wines, all designed to give you a wonderful and memorable experience from 9am on Sunday 23 September. There will be also be entertainment for everyone,  so don’t forget to bring your kids.

Does all of this mixed into a beautiful venue sound like something you’d enjoy? Here’s your chance to delve into some of the culture and spirit of the region, so be sure to get your tickets.

If you’re really into your wine, or would like to explore it more seriously, or playfully, then we’ve got a few wine tastings for you to try out.

South Africa has an extensive range of local foods and they’re definitely worth trying. Get the lowdown on what’s what over here.
