AfriCamps Luxury Glamping Camps in the Western Cape
Experience nature in style with boutique camping experts
AfriCamps Boutique Camping is all about glamping (that is, glamourous + camping) at some of the most beautiful authentic working farms and estates. The company's founders Cape Town-based Dutch business partners, Manou Bleumink and Jeroen van Rootselaar, believe that the best travel experiences are often those that allow visitors to get up close and personal with the landscape, its people and food.
AfriCamps – along with carefully selected hosts – seek to create a unique outdoor affair authentic to the glamping site’s region. Read more about AfriCamps and how the company works.
CUSTOM-DESIGNED BOUTIQUE CAMPING TENTS
Each tent is fully equipped with a spacious kitchen and lounge area, two comfortable bedrooms and one private bathroom. Everything, from the furniture to the actual glamping tent, is locally made with a key focus on sustainability and educating community members to become skilled – in sewing, woodwork, welding, painting, electrical skills and more – through the creation of the custom-designed tents. This notion continues to landowners and the entire glamping experience as visitors are encouraged to explore and become involved in local farm living as well as learn more about typical South African landscapes and the magnificent fauna and flora renowned to the region.
Ultimately, AfriCamps Boutique Camping combines the flexibility of a self-drive holiday; the remoteness of a camping trip and the convenience of a beautiful fully furnished self-catering unit all under one canvas-roof.
AfriCamps currently operates five glamping camps in the Western Cape; Ingwe in Plettenberg Bay and Stanford Hills in Stanford are the most recent. AfriCamps Klein Karoo in Oudtshoorn, AfriCamps at Kam’ Bati in Swellendam and AfriCamps at Pat Busch Nature Reserve in Robertson are the first three. This means glampers can pick their ultimate holiday destination or choose to travel from one luxury glamping site to another.
