A unique concept in nightlife entertainment for Cape Town's slick set
The Sugarhut Club in Cape Town, which will open on 21st January 2011, is inspired by the UK-based nightclub franchise of the same name featuring themed bar areas, laid-back lounges and world-class fusion food. Situated in the heart of Cape Town's trendy East City Precinct the venue promises to be a home away from home and is spacious enough to accommodate a young and fashionable party crowd yet intimate enough to appeal older visitors.
Boho-chic meets ultra-glamorous
In association with local design agency Sugar Bakers the club comprises of a series of individually themed zones designed to suit a variety of moods, tastes and mindsets. The Birdcage room features birdcages whilst the Peacock Lounge is characterized by striking blue cushions and the esoteric Opium Den features a mystical gold Buddha and oversized couches.
The Sugarhut Club is an elegant and enchanting combination of low-slung lanterns, crystal chandeliers, fluorescent hot pink and cool blue highlights, smooth dark wood with rough exposed brickwork, leather, velvet, mirrored surfaces and rich gold and copper toned opulence.
The Beat is as diverse as the decor
The Sugarhut Club's broad selection of entertainment is sure to attract a wide variety of clientele for celebrations, special occasions, romance, after-work drinks and corporate functions. Live jazz and salsa bands will alternate every Wednesday night whilst Friday nights will feature burlesque dancers. The clubs diverse musical cocktail ranges from Shanghai Jazz to Brazilian Bosanova.
An exploration of the Sugarhut Club's nooks and crannies will lead you to the blissful Saffron Lounge, to sipping cocktails and snacking on canapés at the extravagant Gold Bar, to belly dancing on the Monsoon Dance Floor, or to the all-weather outdoor deck for stunning mountain views.
