The fourth annual TRAP Invasion Social Picnic is here, and what better day to have it than 31 December? Talk about closing off the year with a bang. From 2pm, expect to be captivated by music, arts and craft at the Rainbow Arts Organisation’s Black Box Theatre at the Delft Rent Office.
When you see TRAP, you’re thinking of trap music right? Well this event features a variety of theatre, dance and fashion showcases, creating a space where you can build networks and relations with traders and consumers. When it comes to performances, all the artists are local and underground, making it an authentic show for everyone to enjoy.
There will be a fashion exhibition, featuring designs from local artists. This year Kasi Connect, Ingidi Clothing and Local Wear will be showcasing their latest collection, as well as three more brands to be confirmed.
Something To Eat will be catering the event, but there will be other food stalls, including sushi. In fact, all traders are encouraged to come and do business at the event: from food to fashion, everyone and everything is welcomed.
Finally, there’s the TRAP Invasion Awards 2017. This year’s categories include best dressed, best local brand, best DJ, best performer and food stall.
TICKETS TO THE TRAP INVASION SOCIAL PICNIC 2017
Tickets are available at Checkers at R30/p and will be available at the gate at R50/p. The corkage fee for coolers are R30 per cooler at the gate and camp chairs and picnic blankets are more than welcome.
