Where To Celebrate Like It’s 2018 This New Year’s Eve

Our selection of special celebrations to ring in 2018 in Cape Town and the Western Cape

Last Updated: 8 December 2017

Party over here. Party over there. There is a New Year’s Eve party everywhere, for every kind of person. Here’s our list of parties to remember.

If you and your friends want to go somewhere new and easy going in the city this year make it Roast & Co. This freshly opened restaurant offers farm-to-table style food, as well a swanky courtyard bar. Roast & Co. is laid back and a "where friends catch up" place, but they do know how to party with 'all day rose' or 'secret beergarden' saturdays. This 31 December, DJs will start spinning the decks from 9pm until late at the courtyard, which is spacious enough to dance the night away.
Cost: Tickets start at R595/p, includes set dinner and a complimentary Tanqueray cocktail.

The dress code this year is “black venetian”. Think sexy gowns, crisp suits and intricate masks that conceal all but the twinkle in your eye. The restaurant will be decorated in glittering jewels and dark colours. There'll be food and wine, and some of Cape Town’s best-loved DJs.
Cost: R795/ for welcome cocktail and canapes, followed by a three-course dinner. Proof of payment is required to confirm your booking.

This swanky, yet unpretentious hotel is the perfect venue for an evening of celebrations and clinking of chilled glasses of bubbly. It’s also the perfect excuse to bring out that party dress that’s been itching for a night out, or that fancy tie that’s just collecting dust. You’ll be tucking into crayfish bisque, cured smoked Norwegian salmon, lamb shoulder, pineapple parfait, and friandise (a variety of small sweets and preserved fruits). The Crystal Venue is also hosting a party that will go into the early hours of the morning.
Cost: R700/p includes the five-course meal and complimentary drink. For the Crystal Venue party, R450/p gets you in.
