From a cosy log cabin to a caravan park with a difference
Last updated: 6 June 2023
Now that travelling for leisure purposes is allowed, we’ve found some unique places around Cape Town that’ll help you relieve some of that lockdown tension and return feeling refreshed. From Stellenbosch to Robertson, there’s something to suit the type of weekend away you need, whether you’re looking to go on a mini trip with mom, a self-care adventure, a romantic escape or a family-bonding trip. Plus, each establishment is following strict Covid-19 protocols to ensure the safety of its guests.
On the road to the famous Baths Hot Springs in the Cederberg, you’ll find a secret valley with mountains and small forests, just minutes away from Citrusdal. Cederkloof Botanical Retreat has 10 self-catering cottages, cascading down the kloof and almost completely hidden from the gravel road. The rustic cottages each have a long veranda with a heated electric jacuzzi. Enjoy early morning hikes, swimming in the heated pool and starry nights with your special someone.
