It’s that time of the year again. The fourth annual Burn Fire Night reggae event lights up the streets of Khayelitsha on Saturday 30 December. And Site C, Blue Hall is the place to be.
Radio Helderberg’s LNG will be the MC for the day, and the entertainment includes everything from poetry performances to dance renditions and showcases.
Teba Shumba from the South African Reggae Music Association will be a guest speaker, mainly talking about the organisation and the role they play in creating opportunities to advance artists and their craft.
The aim of this event is to create a platform for underground artists as well as established ones, to showcase their productions and network with people in the industry.
Artists to expect include Jahgement Sons, Ras Sugah, Eye Melody, Daddy Spencer, Black Supreme and Jah Maverick to name a few. Amongst the jam-packed lineup, there will be food vendors and fashion designers and other arts and craft available for the public.
TICKETS TO THE 2017 BURN FIRE NIGHT REGGAE EVENT
Tickets start from R20/p for kids and R50/p for adults. But R150/p gets you VIP access. Tickets are available for purchase at Khayelitsha Site C Blue Hall daily or you can contact the organisers on +27 (0)78 8284 898.
