7 Weekend Picks: Theatre, Action, Music, Food What More Does A Weekend Need?
Plus a Tennessee Williams masterpiece is back after 30-years
Balance culture with wild action this weekend: Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie is back on stage and the city and its surrounds is full of options for music, fine wine and food. But there are some red-blooded fun too, such as a fight night where middle-aged men whale on each other for a good cause and a show of the world’s finest cars. Or avoid it all in favour of zenning out at a day of free yoga.
Next week there’s also plenty on, including a Nerf War in Cape Town for the first time ever. Thinking ‘what the hell are they talking about?’ Scroll to the bottom and find out.

This is the best thing since lazer tag: bring your kids for a fun new battlefield game where the guns shoot foam darts. Adults are welcome to join in the action at the first ever annual Cape Town Nerf War.
The Angels Ride On Iron Steeds
Every year thousands of bikers take to the street with toys strapped to them, all in aid of bringing joy to orphaned children. Wine and Seafood in the Perfect Setting
Glen Craig estate in Pringle Bay has picturesque views of the ocean and fynbos – it’s just the best setting for eating seafood paired with wine. You can enjoy wines from 18 wineries, as well as dishes ranging from snoek to white wine mussels at the Proe Seafood and Wine Festival.
Discover the story of a journalist who survived extreme abuse to become an inspiration to women. You can also attend a human behaviour workshop, and get personal coaching from a behavioural expert to learn how to overcome challenging circumstances and release emotional baggage.
