Making Kinky Cool

A natural hair masterclass that’ll have you wearing your ethnic strand like a queen.

The ladies from Cape Town Naturally Hair are hosting a masterclass to teach you that a “taaikop” isn’t a bad thing, especially when you use their tips and tricks to make it awesome.

The Cape Town Naturally Hair Masterclass is taking place on 1 June 2019 at The River Club in Observatory.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT THE MASTERCLASS
The masterclass will be broken up into two, four-hour sessions: one from 9am to 1pm, and the other from 2pm to 6pm.
Each session will have demonstrations, tips, tricks and advice on taking care of your natural hair. You’ll learn to tailor make your own hair regime as well as a few easy styles.
You’ll also get a chance to mingle with other naturalists and discover their unique natural hair journeys.

WHO WILL BE HEADING UP THE MASTERCLASSES

Masterclasses will be run by the five women who started Cape Town Naturally. Each of whom has influence in the natural hair industry: Eleanor Barkes is an influencer and creates digital content centred around naturalistas, Amanda Cooke owns the Cape Town Curly brand, Kasuba Stuurman is the creator of natural haircare brand Buuya, Simone Thomas owns the apparel brand KroesRocks and Chantal De Kock is dubbed “the glue that keeps things together”. Find out more about them at the Cape Town Naturally Website.

They’ll be joined by influencer and owner of GemsOfNatural Joan Hillman.
