Groove your way into 2024 in an iconic historic house at Constantia Nek. La Parada, housed in what was the oldest restaurant in Cape Town, is hosting a Café event – New Year’s Eve edition – with live music, DJs, summertime spritz and an outdoor dance floor.

PARTY ON THE HOTTEST CORNER IN THE ‘BURBS

The building was once home to Constantia Nek Restaurant, which was the oldest restaurant in Cape Town, before being transformed to the Spanish-inspired La Parada. 

High-beamed ceilings, stone pillars, Spanish tiles and an outdoor terrace overlooking pine forests and mountains are just some of the details that make this a special venue for celebrating the new year.

SHARE TAPAS OR MEAT PLATTERS

Best known for their tasty tapas, La Parada’s à la carte menu will be available during the fiesta. You can share wagyu beef potstickers, chicken wings, tuna tacos or miso aubergine with your mates, or grab some grub from pizzas to wagyu burgers. 

There’s also the mother of all meat platters with a whole spatchcock chicken, grilled boerewors, sticky BBQ pork ribs and more. Ordering from the à la carte menu is not included in the ticket – this will be normal pricing.

DANCE TO HOUSE, FUNK, DISCO & MORE 

You can expect everything from house, funk, disco, indie and nudisco, as you dance your way into 2024. For the New Year’s Eve party, La Parada will transform the outside area into a stage and dance floor. The lineup includes Lost Boys, Jackson Blaine, Boogie Vice, Blvck Guy, Mike Glass, Daniel Wulfsohn and famous surfer, actress, producer and DJ Roxy Louw.

CHEERS AT MIDNIGHT WITH A COCKTAIL

La Parada has an extensive drinks menu, with over 40 cocktails, 50 wines and 14 craft beers. Ring in the new year with a special bottle of Veuve Clicquot bubbly, or Rupert & Rothschild Classique. 

Or get one of the signature summer cocktails, like a Cobbler O’clock (Bombay Sapphire with grapefruit, sherry and honey) or Ciroc Summertime Spritz (Ciroc Citrus, Aperol, orange, soda and Cinzano To-Spritz).
