Want to master your own impressive dish? Why not learn from one of the best … like popular MasterChef Australia runner-up Ben Ungermann. He’s returning to South Africa to share his tips and tricks in a nationwide series of three different MasterClasses.
The MasterClasses will take place in Cape Town on 18–21 March 2019 for two hours at the Capsicum Culinary Studio in Salt River.
WHAT UNGERMANN’S MASTERCLASS WILL CONSIST OF?
He’ll be teaching you how to prepare three main dishes – The Whole Chicken MasterClass (how to take apart and use every part of the chicken); The Fish MasterClass (how to fillet and cook fish perfectly every time) and The Dessert MasterClass (some of Ungermann’s most famous desserts, including ice-cream).
ABOUT BEN UNGERMANN
Ungermann was the runner-up in the 2017 edition of Masterchef Australia. During his time on the show, he developed a reputation for making delicious ice-cream and was dubbed the King Of Ice-cream. He and his brother Danny opened a retro ice-cream parlour near Brisbane, Australia called Ungermann Brothers last year.
Ungermann says he’s excited to be returning to South Africa. “It is such a beautiful country. I was lucky enough to go to Madikwe to experience a game safari. It blew my mind ... I am delighted that I will now get to visit Cape Town.”
