Head to the Rooftop for Bottomless Bubbly Every Sunday
Pongracz flows at the Skybar, upstairs from The Piano Bar
Can it get better than a glass of bubbly by a rooftop pool with Table Mountain as a backdrop? Make that bubbly bottomless and you have yourself a perfect afternoon. Every Sunday at the Skybar (you’ll find the entrance at The Piano Bar) you can sip all the Pongracz you want for R250pp between midday and 3pm.
LIVE MUSIC EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK
If you pop back down to The Piano Bar, you’ll find a live music experience that awakens and delights a diverse crowd every night of the week. While Sundays to Thursdays are low-key, mainly featuring performances by solo artists, the tempo picks up on Fridays and Saturdays with gigs by bigger bands and artists, along with must-do drinks specials.
THE MOJITO IS A BIG HIT
The cocktail menu comprises classics done right, experimental signature cocktails, made with fresh produce, and the bar staff’s own innovative infusions.
The mojito is the venue’s bestseller – it’s as fresh as a spring day – but other more unusual must-tries include the invigorating Basil and Clove Martini with freshly squeezed lime juice, and the fragrant Piano’s Rose, a mix of muddled fresh strawberries and basil topped with basil-infused vodka, rose extract, and fresh lime. Choice wine, bubbly, craft beer and other beverages are also available.
FROM PASTRY CIGARS TO PLATTERS
The Piano Bar also boasts a carefully curated seasonal food menu, and the eatery’s snacks and mains are delicious enough to warrant a visit alone, music and drinks aside.
The diverse tapas menu includes phyllo pastry cigars filled with Italian parsley, mint, dill and feta, Oriental pork balls, croquettes filled with béchamel sauce and cheese filling, samoosas, and tacos stuffed with pulled slow-roasted lamb seasoned with Deluxe Coffeeworks coffee.
The platters are perfect for sharing. The Piano Bar Mezze consists of hummus, tzatziki, baba ganoush, sundried tomato pesto, roasted peppers, olives and caper berries served with homemade bread. Other more substantial items include artisanal burgers and whatever else is on the special blackboard menu that day at The Piano Bar.
