You know what’s hot? The line-up for the for the Cross Culture Music Festival at Rands Cape Town, Khayelitsha. It features music royalty: kwaito kings Tkzee will be performing; so will 5fm DJ and radio host DJ Loyd; chart-topping producer DJ Sir Vincent; and Cape Town’s hip hop prince Youngsta CPT. In total there are 40 acts billed to play on the day on two dance floors.

The multi-genre music festival (everything from gqom, to hip hop, electronic dance music, and opera). which happens on Sunday, 28 of October 2017 is a two-city party that started in Johannesburg on October 1 in another iconic township – Soweto. DJ Fresh was the headline act, alongside Thee Gobbs, VJ Jonno and NV Funk to name a few.

Here in Cape Town it’s at Rands in Khayelitsha, a 1500-capacity venue with great tshisa nyama. They have the traditional, red meat, chakalaka and pap on the menu, of course. They also make a mean creamy spinach, ribs, and Buffalo wings dipped in the Rands’ secret sauce. It’s a classy joint, where with both a general and VIP area.
TICKETS TO THE CROSS CULTURE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2017
