Freewheel on a Swiss-designed mountain scooter down Scootours new Flow Trail in Middelvlei Wine Farm. Set with meandering berms, free fall dips, rollers and 360-degree mountain views, windswept and tired biker’s can reward their efforts with a complimentary braai and a glass of wine (or juice for the kids) at the Middelvlei Boerebraai Restaurant. 

LET THEM CONQUER THE FLOW TRAIL 

Brave a daring trail built by famous triathlete and professional mountain trail builder Conrad Stoltz. Leaving no natural gem at Middelvlei Wine Farm unseen, this dirt road route is both beautiful and exhilarating, with individual sections allowing both the nervous and experienced rider to push their limits. 

Between the rolling Simonsig, Jonkershoek and Stellenbos mountain range, at the top of Middelvlei’s vineyards marks the start of your downward trail: the Caveman Cruz. Let gravity take the wheel and race your way through its winding berms before bouncing through the rollers atop The Dragon’s Back, skidding under a canopy of trees in the Bush Tunnel and finally rolling to a halt at the end of Scootours 850m long trail...and then doing it all again with more confidence and speed.   

LUNCH IN THE MIDDLE OF THREE MOUNTAIN RANGES

Rider’s will get to test the track from several different points before giving their legs, and arms, a break with a complimentary braai lunch at the Middelvlei Restaurant. End the day off with a set menu of lamb chops, boerewors and honey and mustard chicken sosatie with homemade braaibroodjie “done on an open braai with a secret sauce”, says Scootours owner Oudts Van Oudtshoorn. 

Vegetarian’s do not fret. They serve a hefty Middelvlei vegetarian boerebraai of pot brood with olive tapenade and homemade preserves for starters, followed with braaibroodjie, mushroom and sweet pepper kebabs, grilled feta with roasted tomato and basil pesto with pampoenkoekies (pumpkin fritters) and a light green salad. 

WORK IN THE MORNING, TRAILBLAZE IN THE DAY

During the week, colleagues can book the conference venue or sit inside the Middelvlei Boerebraai Restaurant for a team day out in a positive and adventurous environment. Plus, the trail is easy and safe enough for kids from age of four to ride either on their own or with a parent for a safe and outdoors kids birthday party.
