Ambassade by Ideas Cartel is the most intimate of all the Ideas Cartel coworking spaces. It feels like a slice of home with its vintage wooden tables, leather chairs and a quiet courtyard snuggled between the office rooms and boardrooms. It’s the kind of place in which you would imagine a young Johann Rupert would have a business meeting.

Ambassade has a warmer, less industrial atmosphere than the spaces you find in the city. There’s warm blue walls and moody colours and plush couches. The floor-to-ceiling windows let soft sunlight creep into your office nook, and often you’ll here slow jazz wafting over the working-day hustle. 

There are numerous boardrooms and offices to rent out for your team, as well as hot desks, ideal for freelancers and those travelling through the Winelands, with desks payable per day or month.

You’ll see everything from an executive in a suit, to a photoshoot by the coffee bar and a dog rolling around on the cowhide rug of its owner’s office. The meeting rooms are bookable on the Ideas Cartel app.

WORK IN A PRIME OFFICE LOCATION

Ambassade is situated on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, close to all the major routes going in and out of the town, with notable neighbours like the Rupert Museum. It is open all day, every day, and has 24/7 security, Fibre wifi and free parking for those working there.

SNACK AT THE CAFETERIA

If you’re feeling snackish or in need of a break, Ambassade has a small café at the entrance of the co-working space. It serves smoothies and light snacks such as croissants, chips, chocolates, coffees and cold drinks. You can choose between the sunny nook inside, with wicker chairs, or get some fresh air and sit on the benches by the entrance outside.
