Ideas Cartel: Work, play + stay hub for today's businesses

Last updated: Monday, 17 April 2023

Ideas Cartel meeting rooms aren’t just inspiring, creative hubs. They’re also cleverly positioned, with one in every key location, from the buzzy Old Foundry – a hop and skip away from the V&A Waterfront – to the refined Ambassade in the winelands, to Ideas Cartel Claremont in the southern suburbs, and the dreamy Casa Labia in Muizenberg.

Book by the hour or the day, for everything from smaller scrum meetings to full-day strategy sessions – there are flexible solutions for all meeting requirements.

Ideas Cartel has defined itself as a premium coworking work-play-and-stay hub, for businesses, entrepreneurs and digital nomads, who come to South Africa from anywhere and everywhere – from Joburg to Germany, the US, France, the UK, Holland and further afield, because Ideas Cartel working and meeting spaces are fully kitted for plug and play.

There are two to four meeting rooms and boardrooms at each of the Ideas Cartels spaces across the Western Cape, each of which accommodate from two to 20 people, and have uncapped fibre (with back-up power at all locations), a video display on 55” TV, connectivity adapters for Mac and PC, cleaning services, plus catering on request.

The boardrooms are not drab spaces either, they reflect the people you regularly encounter – entrepreneurs, business owners, corporate types – in planning sessions.

The finely furnished Amabssade in Stellenbosch is the type of setting you could imagine Johann Rupert hosting a board meeting in.

The Old Foundry in the CBD, an eclectic mix of old-world charm (panelled walls) and modern chic (sleek wooden tables), is an inspiring space for creative brainstorms and team-wide conferencing for year planning.

For businesses based in the southern suburbs, the light, modern coworking space at Ideas Cartel Claremont is tastefully designed and features a range of boardrooms and meeting rooms too.

You can rent a boardroom by the hour, starting from R350 to something more bespoke, and you can have the whole space to yourself and your team for the day or week.

Meeting and Zoom rooms cost R100 per hour – you’ll get 50% off if you’re an Ideas Cartel office or coworking member.

In all Ideas Cartel buildings you also have the options of an office suite, casual co-working spaces and fixed hot desks, all of which you can rent weekly or monthly, whatever works conveniently for you.

Bleisure travellers, remote workers and digital nomads who want it all, will find it at Ideas Cartel. Plush hotels and luxury apartments lead down to co-working spaces with lounges and cafés, private meeting rooms and boardrooms that can be used for collaborating and conferencing.

There, they get what they want: Co-working at their convenience, a more-than-comfortable stay, a fair rate, in the location of their choice.
