Shark workshop, lemon festival, comedy show and more

We’re in the last stretch, it’s almost payday! This week(end) there’s lots to do without breaking the bank. There’s a lemon and limoncello festival and a shark awareness workshop for kids (both under R50). You can also watch a free open mic night, make chocolate bonbons, and go to a brandy tasting event.
Be transported to Hawaii as you work through a live-action Cluedo night at Greenhaus. You’ll need to follow clues, examine evidence and catch Kea’s killer, the most accomplished dancer in all of Hawaii. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed and first to solve the mystery. Your ticket includes a three-course dinner.

Experi-buddies and the Iziko South African Museum are pairing up for a shark workshop. Kids (ages five to 12) will learn about different types of sharks, how they live, what they eat, why we need to protect them and more. They’ll also be able to perform experiments and take an experiment home too. Children must be accompanied by one adult.

Adults can make limoncello while the kids make lemonade at this festival hosted by Green Gables Country Inn. There’s a prize of R1 500 for the best limoncello and R500 for the best lemonade. There’ll be lawn games, spoon races and a lemon eating contest. All tickets include two free tastings (limoncello for adults, and lemonade for the kids).
