The Republic of Hout Bay Street Parade

An event not to miss celebrating the birthday of the Republic of Hout Bay just outside Cape Town South Africa

The Street Parade will show-case Cape Town's Hout Bay in typical Hout Bay celebratory style after celebrating the birthday of the Republic of Hout Bay.

Harley Davidson riders (Knights of the Republic), Drum-Majorettes from Imizamo Yethu, a Youth-Street-Band from Hangberg, Horse-Riders from the equestrian society in the Valley, Security Patrol Units display (Deep Blue Security Co ), Themed Floats by various restaurants and Acrobats from the Zip-Zap circus school, Champs of Champs winner 2008 Minstrel Carnival Troop, Hout Bay Scouts & Girl-Guides.

The Hout Bay Heritage Trust will also be firing the traditional Cannon at the end point of the street parade to mark the Republic`s coming of age. The Street Parade route will be from Kronendal High School along Main Road to the Beach Front. This promises to be fun for the whole family in Hout Bay !!!
