Watch A Tango Show For Free At The Waterfront

See professionals dance the night away as part of the Cape Town Tango Marathon

You can witness the thrilling spectacle of the tango at this free dance show taking place at the V&A  Waterfront on Saturday 8 December, 3pm–6pm.

Apart from the Tango Marathon, which takes place the entire weekend, you’ll be able to watch dancers from cities across South Africa at Pierhead Deck. If you’d like to participate in the marathon, you can join in on the four-day dance event for R900pp.

Dancers taking part in the marathon can expect cheese and wine followed by a Chacarera class hosted by Virginia Piria Hüge and Jose Luis Pereira Figueroa on Friday night, a walkabout through Cape Town on Saturday and a line-up of other fun activities on the schedule.

Registration for the marathon is essential before the event. You can register through the Tango Marathon website.

What’s also pretty cool -- the marathon will be kicking their festivities off at First Thursdays at youngbloodafrica on 6 December from 9pm. Go check it out there too.
