SouthernTipsy Unleashed Psytrance Night at District

Get happy on colourful beats spun by Cape Town’s finest psytrance DJs

On Saturday, 15 July 2017, District will play host to SouthernTipsy’s latest psytrance event; Unleashed. This will be the first of SouthernTipsy’s psychedelic parties to be held indoors for three years, and they’ve ensured that their devoted attendees have only the best when it comes to where they stomp their feet. District is a glossy new nightclub placed where Assembly formerly stood, on the sexy club-lined Harrington Street, and forms part of the night spot trio The Firm. Here you can get jumping to the beats on a slick wooden dance floor underneath a chandeliered ceiling.

The venue is big enough for 800 party people to fit into, but SouthernTipsy has set a limit of 500 tickets for this event in order for their patrons to have plenty of room to dance. District also has a long, spacious bar and excellent bottle service (and did we mention that this is a club that actually has nice, clean bathrooms?); all in all, a stellar venue is ready to house a stellar night.

What’s more, an array of local trance magicians will be leading you through a hazy daze of euphoric tunes from 7:30pm all the way to 4am; non-stop! If you’re a regular trance event attendee, you’ll be familiar with some of the names, and SouthernTipsy may be able to introduce you to some more awesome acts. They’ll be playing back-to-back, and their high energy sounds are certain to keep you moving tirelessly to the flow the whole night long.

SouthernTipsy focuses on celebrating the underground psytrance scene and delivers only psychedelic trance - no light and fluffy stuff here, as puritans of the genre will be happy to know. So come through and be carried along a wave of kaleidoscopic sound as you live a psytrance festival-like experience for a night in a safe and sumptuous environment.

A limited number of tickets are available for this night of sound and movement. If you’d like to be one of the lucky attendees, you can grab yourself a pre-sold pass to the party online on Quicket.co.za for just R100p/p. Otherwise, if you miss the opportunity to do so and decide to chance it at the door on the night, you can expect to hand over R120p/p for your ticket.
