Get your fill of decadent and spicy Portuguese food on Friday, 30 June 2017 at Eaglevlei Wine Estate’s eatery in the heart of Stellenbosch. A whole menu of meaty Portuguese inspired dishes, finely crafted by Eaglevlei, awaits you at this evening of feasting (including dessert!).
On offer for the evening is a wide selection of starters to nibble on, such as spicy chicken livers and saucy beef and chicken Trinchado. The main is a choice between a Prego steak roll, quarter chicken or beef Espetada, all of which are served with Peri Peri potato wedges. Malasadus & Syrup as well as Portuguese rice pudding are the delicious sweet finishes in this exotic line-up.

Eagelvei is right in Cape Town’s wine country. Stellenbosch, one of the areas in the vineyard-rich Cape Winelands, is popular among tourists and locals and is known for its beautiful estates that you can visit for tastings, bottles of the best grape, and hearty food. This winery restaurant is graced with an exquisite view of the Stellenbosch mountains you can appreciate as you sip on a glass of red or white and enjoy the crisp country air.
It’s a family friendly locale, so the kids won’t be bored here. A huge indoor play park for children awaits; it includes a cinema showing the latest kid’s films, kiddy meals and one of the largest jungle gym in the province, all of which are supervised closely by the Eaglevlei staff. Also placed in the winery is a less formal eatery, The Nest Pizzeria & Beer Garden, where you can indulge your carbohydrate cravings and pair craft beer with pizza.

The restaurant architecture is a modern, minimalist take on the old Cape Dutch style that is so characteristic of the region’s wine estates. Its contemporary interpretation of traditional pub fare includes elements of beloved South African delicacies such as snoek, biltong, oxtail and lamb shank, and brings out the flavours of the estate grape juices.
