Last updated: 23 January 2023
You might think hotels in city centres are only for travellers and businesspeople; the Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Foreshore will quickly prove you wrong. While this unassuming hotel in the heart of the CBD is a treat for tourists, it has lots to offer locals too – from dog-friendly rooms to a hidden rooftop bar and quick lunches. Find seven good reasons why this a hotel that ticks all the boxes.

The Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Foreshore is conveniently located a few minutes from the Cape Town International Convention Centre and a short stroll from many of the CBD’s major office buildings. So if you’re in town for work, meetings or a conference, you’ll be able to get to and from the hotel on foot – the best way to soak up some city vibes.

Take the lift to the 11th floor on most evenings and you’ll find music, excellent Cosmos (and a long list of other cocktails), tasty bar snacks, amazing views of Table Mountain and the CBD and a lively mix of locals and tourists enjoying the vibe at Harald’s Bar & Terrace.

Hotel guests no longer need to make plans to have their furry friends looked after when they’re travelling. The hotel rooms here have water bowls, plus dogs are allowed to join you at Harald’s Bar & Terrace if you’re just there for drinks.

It’s an all-day affair at RBG Bar & Grill. Pick up a glass of South African wine or a cocktail or beer at the bar and enjoy quick meals like grilled dishes, gourmet burgers, fresh salads or regional specialties. You can get breakfast, lunch or dinner.

For events or big meetings, there’s a 125m2 conference room at the hotel that can also be divided into two equally-sized meeting rooms, plus a 30m2 boardroom for up to 14 people. The largest conference or event space can accommodate up to 120 people theatre-style, or 140 people for a cocktail reception.
There’s modern audiovisual equipment, free wifii, the rooftop terrace for meeting breaks – or just for somewhere to work with a view and fresh air – and a dedicated team on hand to make sure your event or conference runs smoothly.

The hotel is minutes away from some of the best the city centre has to offer. Long Street, a popular nightlife destination, is just around the corner. It’s also within walking distance of Greenmarket Square and Cape Town City Hall which is surrounded with food stalls (it’s a great place to get a gatsby).
