Cape Town Film Studio Starting Soon
It's lights, camera, almost action for Cape Town studio
Cape Town will soon have its own film studio for its buoyant film and photography industry.Government and the private sector says construction on the newly-named Cape Town Film Studio formerly known as Dreamworld Studios, will kick off soon.
5 February the new name for the R500-million studio was unveiled by Dreamworld Studios Chairman Anant Singh.
Construction of the Cape Town film studio and (post) production house will start in March 2008 and is expected to be completed by December 2009.
Premier Ebrahim Rasool says, "Cape Town's multi-billion rand film industry will soon have its own home."
