Three New Desserts Available at the Country’s Favourite FroYo Spot

Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt has new dessert additions that will make your mouth water.

The refreshing taste of frozen yoghurt has become synonymous with summer, and there is no brand that stands as tall as Marcel’s in South Africa. And with their three newly launched desserts, they have tipped the scales in their favour for good quality, healthy, delicious desserts.

A COOKIE SANDWICH, A BROWNIE AND A WAFFLE
Already patron saints of the sugar cone and frozen yoghurt mix, Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt has now added three extra special desserts in winter but which will be available all year round. From the decadent chocolate chip cookie sandwich, which has your choice of frozen yoghurt between two yummy chocolate chip cookies; to the rich dark chocolate brownie topped with frozen yoghurt; and the classically delicious Belgian waffle. These desserts (especially the warm brownie), along with their milkshakes, blizzards and smoothies, give you extra options beyond your favourite frozen yoghurt.

SOMETHING NEW
Marcel’s has launched something special for the school holidays — two new flavours: creme soda and popcorn. These limited edition flavours have a movies trend to it and are perfect for these September holidays. They are available from the 28 September until the 12 October 2018.

FROZEN YOGURT EXCELLENCE SINCE 1989
Marcel’s is one of the oldest and most recognised frozen yoghurt brands in the company, walking into a mall one almost expects to find a Marcels there. Marcels was opened in 1989 in Stellenbosch, and since then has worked on developing their product with only the best quality ingredients. Even though many other brands have introduced self-service, Marcels’ has stayed true to their belief that personal interaction between staff and customers is important.

Marcels was the first product that is outside of the cheese and butter industries that received the award of the SA Dairy Champion at the South African Dairy Championships in 2015. Since their inception, they have won over 50 awards at the South African Dairy Championships, including the Qualité Award eight times.

HEALTHY, HALAAL AND FOR EVERYONE
Marcel’s frozen yoghurt is made from real dairy and they only use natural ingredients with beneficial nutrients and bacteria with lower levels of lactose and live probiotic cultures. And if you are looking for the healthiest choice when ordering your frozen yoghurt it is a small tub of chocolate frozen yoghurt which has 545 KJ, 5.7g protein, 4.3g fat and 17.0g sugar. The Belgian waffle is also sugar-free and safe for diabetics if eaten without toppings or frozen yoghurt.

All frozen yoghurt flavours are also halaal, gluten-free and free from artificial flavourants, gelatin, azo-dyes and tartrazine.

Tip: If you want to keep some frozen yoghurt to enjoy at your leisure at home, you can purchase 175ml and 1L tubs from the Marcels stores or supermarkets.
