After a sold out night at Comedy On A River, in October- Comedy On A Roll is proud to bring yet another fresh line-up to the Slug and Lettuce at The River Club in Observatory on Thursday 24 November with Carl Weber, Glen Biderman-Pam, Stuart Cairns, Joe Emilio and Lindy Johnson.
Bloem boytjie Carl Weber brings his “funny” to stage as the evening's host. Carl has been featured on Comedy Central, headlined the Jive Funny Festival, played on stages across the country, and recently did his one man show - The Bloem Boytjie Diaries at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. Carl has established himself as one of the strongest MC’s and headlines acts in Cape Town, with his fun energy and skewed views on everyday life.
Comedy On A Roll’s Stuart Cairns brings his hilarious observations and self-effacing humour to the stage as the support act. Stuart won the inaugural Good Hope FM Laughmaster Competition and went on to perform at the Jive Funny Festival.
Two open mic spots are featured this month: Joe Emilio, who recently did a run of his one man show and also launched the #ThatsFunny Comedy Club, and newcomer. Lindy Johnson, who has been turning heads, and tummies, on the local scene and has established herself as one of the bright youngsters on the Cape Town comedy circuit joins the line up.
The hilarious Glen Biderman-Pam joins us from Jozi to headline the evening. He has performed stand-up comedy at the top venues across the country. After only 10 months of comedy, he won the Comedy Central Open Mic competition and a spot in the Best of the Best Parker’s Presents; alongside Barry Hilton, Stuart Taylor, Conrad Koch and Joe Parker.
The first 30 people to arrive get a free Gordon’s summer drink with a twist. Food and drinks specials are also available on the night.
