On 8 September 2018, Tokai – a suburb known for its greenery and suburban bliss – is getting hot and saucy with its food, and is calling all foodies to come and join in a hot sauce competition and evening hosted by Johnny Hexburg at the Earth Fair Market.

Tuck into a pizza or a burger and up the ante by adding one of 40 different hot sauce flavours to test your palate’s capability. The competition will test who can manage the hottest sauce for the longest time, so brace yourselves. Sauce strengths range from mild to wild, so seasoned chilli eaters and newbies are both welcome.

Later, you can soothe your palate and tongue with some delicious homemade brownies for dessert and relax while listening to the smooth sounds of Juan Casey, a musician, singer and songwriter who plays mostly pop songs. The Earth Fair market has a kids corner where the little ones can play and meet new friends, while mom and dad enter the competitions for awesome prizes and hampers.

TICKETS FOR THE 2018 HOT SAUCE TASTING EVE
Early bird tickets are R80pp and can be reserved by emailing johnnyhexburg@gmail.com.
Tickets at the door are R100pp and kids get in for free.
