The go-to glamping organiser for events
They can set up at your fave wine farm or even your garden
Last updated: Wednesday, 1 October 2025
Yes, you could have your year-end at a restaurant, or your 50th in a function hall. But what if you could make it a magical glamping getaway, where your friends, family or team are accommodated in a luxurious glamping village, set up especially for you at a beautiful remote location, with bell tents and toilets and showers that are actually a delight.
Expedition Glamping can design a curated experience with their luxurious mobile glamping tents; they do it all the time for events like Retreat Yourself and Rocking the Daisies. Owners Camille de Beer and Rian Gouws share their venue recommendations, tips for planning a glamping getaway, and more.

Our tents have crisp hotel-grade linen, Volpes pillows, feather duvet inners…
Each tent also includes two single beds with 15-centimetre-thick mattresses, wooden bed frames that are off the floor, towels, bedside tables and lamps, two chairs, and a wooden storage chest.
We also include hangers for your clothes, rugs, and plants, as well as multi-charging power banks. We’re the only supplier offering five-meter bell tents at this level of luxury in South Africa.

Teams love us for corporate functions or year-ends because…
Glamping takes teams out of the office and into nature. They can truly switch off, reconnect and recharge. Sleeping under the stars, sharing fireside moments and enjoying comfort in the wild can build stronger bonds than a dinner table ever could.
Anything can be a venue, from a wine estate to your garden…
As long as a standard vehicle can access it (we transfer the tents and ablutions with trucks and trailers). The venue just needs to be a relatively flat piece of land and be large enough to accommodate the number of tents you need.
Let us know what venue you have in mind, and we’ll let you know if it's suitable. We can even recommend venues if you’re not sure where to start. If your venue doesn’t have water and electricity, we can provide that as well.
The toilets are not porta-potties…
Our mobile bathrooms are spacious and clean with warm showers. We even have hangers in the showers, so you don’t need to put your clothes on the floor.
People often underestimate how many bathrooms they’ll need for their guests (or sometimes forget to organise it completely), and we can advise you on this.
We can even help organise catering and lawn games…
We come from an event management background. From entertainment ideas and live music to catering concepts, bars, and event layout, we can make anything happen, whether it's for a boutique celebration, wedding, or a large-scale corporate event.

Retreat Yourself, Rocking the Daisies, and Cape Epic work with us because…
Our experience in the events industry means we are extremely efficient and reliable. We set up and break down with speed and precision. They’ve worked with us since their first booking with us, because they know we deliver on time and under pressure. We have also gotten a lot of good feedback about our fair pricing.
Some of our most memorable venues have been…
Nidderdale Farm between Caledon and Hermanus. The vineyards and apple and pear orchards make it a beautiful wedding venue.
AA Badenhorst near Malmesbury. The wine farm creates packages of activities, workshops and experiences for you, whether it's for a birthday or team-building.
Kaleo Guest Farm in Ceres. They have venues for different functions, like a manor house for conferences and a chapel for weddings.
Moutons Valley Farm in Piketberg is especially stunning. The fruit farm is on top of the Piket-Bo-Berg mountain with incredible views.
Make sure the venue you choose has…
Boardrooms or a function room if you are planning for a corporate retreat. We can also set up big tents to function as meeting spaces. For weddings, think about finding a location with a large indoor space, like a chapel or hall.
Summer events might do well with a dam, river or natural pools. And for kids’ parties, you might want to choose a location that has jungle gyms or fun activities close by.
Things that people often overlook are…
The layout or flow of the event. It can quickly become overcrowded if it's poorly laid out, like if there’s no chill area. A chill area can contribute a lot to an event. It’s somewhere people can mingle between activities, or even do specific activities together, like as part of team-building.
You should also have a weather back-up plan, like a big stretch tent (which we can organise).
