Saturdays pair well with exciting, underground pub visits for delicious food, fruity drinks and good company. Lucky for us The Station on Bree's Mini Gin Fest is back and reopening its doors to Cape Town's gin lovers. Expect live music, a tapas-style menu as well as local and international gin tastings every Saturday.
The Station on Bree will have up to seven gin stations, each with its own unique set of gins to sample. But here’s the difficult part, you’ll only get five gin tickets to use between the seven gin stations. Any choice will be a good choice though as guests will be treated to an impressive list of local, international and award-winning gins.
To help you soak up some of that gin, The Station on Bree has a delicious tapas special. You’ll want to get your hands on a plate of Mediterranean chicken strips, salt and pepper squid, Brixton chilli mustard beef and Abbey Road chilli poppers. Although this special is for two, there’s no judgement if you don’t want to share.
To pack even more fun into one evening, The Station on Bree will also have live entertainment. To give you an idea of what kind of tunes to expect, they’re welcoming in the likes of Amy Tjasink, Keegan Williams, comedian John Pinette and The Rivertones.
How it works: guests purchase a booklet at the restaurant that gives you access to five double gin and tonics, with your favourite fruity garnishes included. Seating is limited, so booking is crucial if you want to secure your Saturday afternoon spot. You can book via thestation.capetown.
You’ll find cocktails, food and music throughout the week at The Station on Bree.
