Wine and music are often brought together in subtle ways. Whether at a restaurant with live music, or a classy jazz bar. But they’ve never been put in the spotlight together as they will be for the Ekasi Wine Tasting and Music Festival.
WHAT IS THE EKASI WINE TASTING AND MUSIC FESTIVAL?
The brainchild of events company More2xplore, they’re creating a unique experience on 27 January 2019 by mixing the sophistication of a wine tasting with the vibrancy of a music festival in Langa at the Guga Stheba Arts and Culture Centre.
WHAT WINES CAN YOU EXPECT?
The Ekasi Wine Tasting and Music Festival wants you to experience the taste of 10 top-class wine brands such as Pongracz, Nederburg, Alto Rouge, Plasier De Merle, 4th Street, Drostdy-Hof & JC Le Roux.
To do this they’ll give you a booklet of tasting tokens for each wine brand and a wine glass to taste from.
WHAT TUNES WILL BE SPUN?
The organisers are bringing in some great young DJs to create a vibe for the event. These acts include local hip-hop DJ Big Wande, soulful house DJ Mphoza Fantastik, deep house DJ Ms Eve and club DJ Portia Luma, among others.
