Unpacked: Events, must-try activities and where to stay & eat
Presented by Discovery in association with 567 Cape Talk, the much-loved sunset seaside Moonstruck concert returns to Clifton 4th beach for a fun, family-friendly evening of free music and picture-perfect picnicking on Saturday, 13 February 2016.
Billed as one of Cape Town’s most cherished outdoor events, the moonlit fiesta will once again feature a special secret line-up of top artists to entertain crowds of revellers basking in the festival-like atmosphere.
The annual Moonstruck summer beach concert is held in support of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), which strives to protect those out at sea. Since entry to the concert is free, attendees are asked to show solidarity for this vital life saving organisation by purchasing glow sticks from the volunteers’ stalls; please remember to bring cash along with you.
So pack a picnic, round up the friends, folks and kids and celebrate the day of love and being able to enjoy a beachside concert in one of the most spectacular cities in the world.
ACCESS TO THE 2016 MOONSTRUCK SUMMER BEACH CONCERT ON CLIFTON 4TH
Entry to the Moonstruck concert is ABSOLUTELY FREE, so there isn’t a single valid excuse not to attend. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drink, but do note that no alcohol will be permitted.
It’s advisable to start arriving from 4:30pm as the beach tends to fill up quickly. The music will start a little after 6pm.
