Calling all crazy, party-loving souls, get ready for an epic outdoor jol at the ever-beautiful Theewaterskloof Dam from Friday, 8 February to Sunday, 10 February 2013.
Beartrap and West Coast Productions, two juggernauts of trance in the Mother City, have teamed up to bring two decked-out stages bursting with big international acts, such as Mystical Complex and Darth&Vader, (as well as local favourites) to an already jam-packed summer social scene.
As usual, Theewaterskloof Dam will be fully kitted out to include: a beautiful camp site, a mind-blowing light show, multiple dance floors, showers, ample parking and incredible sound rigs. Not to mention, if the two fully-licensed bars leavve you weak at the knees, there will also be shuttles missioning to and from the dance floor as well as trained medical staff and security for any ouchies you might get on the way to a good night.
More about international headliners : Mystical Complex and Darth&Vader
Mystical Complex is a twenty-something-year-old party boy who has fast become an international festival favourite, recently playing in Brazil and Mexico in front of thousands of happy trance fans. Born in the Ukraine, he moved to Israel, where, at the age of 15 he used his instrumental background as an entry point to the trance music-making scene. His sound is best described as a progressive and psychedelic electronica fusion, and his new and long-awaited album, “Kill Them All”, will (officially) debut in South Africa at the festival.
Darth&Vader is a one man project (don’t let the name fool you) comprising solely of Brazilian rock and roll fan Hugo Castellan, a man who gigs all around world with his genre-fusing version of trance; his beats blend more complex, dirtier heavier bass lines with rock and progressive.
Line-up for The Ground Zero Electronic Music Festival
As mentioned, there will be two stages featuring international headliners and local acts: the Celestial Beings stage will serve as the psy- epicenter and the Electronic Valley stage will host a bumping line-up of artists bouncing about at the forefront of the electro scene.
