The Backsberg 10th Annual Picnic Concerts return on 10 February 2019, for five weeks of spectacular music with a line-up that music lovers won’t want to miss. The annual weekly music event kicks off on 10 February and runs for five weeks until 10 March 2019. Here's what you can look forward to, including videos to give you a taste of what the music acts are about.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Each guest (18 and over) gets a complimentary glass of Backsberg wine included in their ticket price.
PLAYING THE FESTIVAL THIS YEAR IS...
The concerts will take place on the Backsberg Estate lawn and the festival has brought in A-list South African musicians including:
Shortstraw, 10 February (R200.00 per ticket)
Bottomless Coffee Band, 17 February (R190.00 per ticket)
Zolani from Freshlyground, 24 February (R200.00 per ticket)
Beatenberg, 3 March (R220.00 per ticket)
Opposite the Other, 10 March (R190.00 per ticket)
OTHER THINGS TO DO AT THE BACKSBERG CONCERT
Aside from the live entertainment, they will have pre-ordered picnic baskets, a food court and popular food truck, Die Worsrol, serving German, Asian and vegetarian options. Lickity Split will also be there with a selection of Belgian waffles, ice-creams and hot drinks on offer.
BRING THE KIDS ALONG
Backsberg will be doing some fun activations including a flower-crown building station and a play area for kids, complete with a jumping castle and face painting facilities. Cape Talk Radio will also be hosting some exciting activations.
HOW TO GET TICKETS
Ticket prices range from R190 to R220 per ticket. They are only available online, so get in and book tickets now.
